It's actually called the Bad Astronomy Blog (http://www.badastronomy.com/).

Pariah Deviant's post about the meteor reminded me I wanted to share this link I got a few weeks ago. I think it was started as a blog against hoaxy stuff like the face on Mars and people calling the moon landing a hoax, but he posts a lot of great information about real science too. I liked his stuff about comet McNaught so I went outside to have a look see. It was beautiful. Now I want a telescope even more.

I first got linked there because he posted his top 10 astronomy pictures (http://www.badastronomy.com/bablog/2006/12/27/the-top-ten-astronomy-images-of-2006/) of 2006. Most of them are very interesting.

Man, that above view of the Mars rover is just amazing. I defnitely think thats the best picture out of all of them.

Even though the sun isn't my favorite thing to take pictures of, i really think that picture with the space station in front of the sun is great too.

I liked the one of Saturn. It looks so extremely fake that it boggles my mind. Its strange to think that something that looks so fake could be so real.

Wow...check out the latest entry of this. Well, it's one of the latest. It's the youtube video of the rocket crash.

That sucks, I wonder if anyone was on board or if it was programmed to fly by itself.

If you haven't seenThe Astronomy Picture of the Day (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/), that's a great site. I have that as my home page so I get a different image every day.
