First, I want to say that Stephanie and Derek do an excellent job with the podcast. I really enjoy listening to the both of them discussing the series every week. So, good job to the both of you, and keep up the good work.

Now, as for the topics, I think this podcast was really well done. The concersation seemed to flow almost seamlessly from one topic to the next.

I know I keep getting hung up on Thoor these days, but I just wanted to point something out here:

Stephanie had a great theory about Thoor possibly training Scott to be his eventual replacement. Unfortunately (sorry Stephanie), I have to disagree. From what we've seen of Thoor so far in the series, Thoor is a very intellegent person, like him or not.

I think Thoor knows that Scott resents him, Scott really wants nothing to do with him, and would probably kill him if given the oppoirtunity (this last part is my opinion, not based on anything). I don't see how Thoor could not know that, if he's as smart as he seems to be.

So, given that, I don't think Thoor would want Scott in ultimate control of the Nightmen, unless he wanted the Nightmen to take this alternate path towards being more human then they currently are. And i don't get that kind of warm and fuzzy feeling from Thoor so far.

excellent point scout. but i still suspect that thoor has some ulterior motives for scott that revolve around him becoming much higher in authority than where he is. i will keep this in mind for this week!!

Oh no doubt, I agree with you there. Thoor has a purpose in mind for Scott. I just don't know if I can see that purpose being an eventual supreme leader of the Nightmen. But that's what the board and the podcast are all for, to throw out the ideas and get discussion flowing.

Besides, I've been wrong before. (It's rare, but it does happen. :p)

I agree: great podcasts. To be honest, I'm terrible at thinking of specific questions or comments other than I enjoy them and look forward to them.

Yes, I agree as well. I don't think Thoor is the kind of man that likes to share his power or can ever forsee himself being "replaced". That's what makes him a dictator- he is in absolute control. Everyone else in HIS game are just pawns to played to his own liking.
