It's too quiet. Discussion must ensue.
Has everyone who signed up read the book yet? Or bought it from any of the fine retailers online? Or from the author himself?
And just because I like him:
Yup, received a pre-release copy from Lee. Read through it rather quickly and I was pleasantly surprised how well it was written. It's hard to keep me interested in a book and Sci-Fi/Military isn't really one of my strong interests. But Lee did a great job in hooking me in and making me want to know more about the story.

Just finished the book and I must say its marvelous. I can't wait for Outlaw Trigger. I ordered it through Amazon, it released on a Tuesday and I got it on a Thursday, though I didn't read it till about 2 weeks later.
You did a great job man, I can't wait to see how you progress as an author in your next book. Keep up the good work and God Bless.

I know I haven't posted anything in a while and I am sorry about that. I was honored to buy an advance copy of the book and it is said for me to say this, but I haven't read it yet. I have been busy with work and trying to get my life in check. I just don't have the time right now to read. But rest assured, when I have time....I will read it and I am sure I will love it. I like all the reviews that the book is getting and it is building the anticipation higher and higher.

Yeah. And he spends three years in Tibet with an ancient kung fu Japanese master and learns how to throw Sonic Booms by whipping both arms forward. He uses the Sonic Booms to destroy the alien spacecraft and (SPOILER!!!) he totally leaves his fiancee to run off with some uber-space-chick and start a hybrid nation of super-soldiers.
True story, all of it.

Betsy, how are the Maximum Ride books? I read a lot of James Patterson, but I've never gotten around to those yet. Pretty good?

Right now I'm reading Maximum Ride - Schools out Forever by James Patterson. Started it two nights ago and am almost done. It's a real fast reader. Then I'm going to start on the Harry Potter's. I have insomnia, so hopefully I'll be able to finish before I get the new one....

I really like them. They move really fast. There are three of the new ones out. Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment is the first one. I'm on the second which is Schools Out Forever. The next one just came out this week. Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports. I'll wait for that one in paperback.
There were two that he had done originally called When the Wind Blows and The Lake House. He says that the new ones are based loosely on these.
I love the Alex Cross and The Murder Club books.

I love the Alex Cross and The Murder Club books.
Definitely. One of the better authors at keeping your attention. He's got an amazing grasp of the absolute strangeness that deciding to murder someone entails. His plots are both believable (which makes them frightening) and out-of-control (which makes them fun to read) and he certainly knows his way around twists and turns.
The only thing I don't like about his books (and most good books in general) is that they eventually end and you have to wait a year or more (or forever) for another one to come out.
