After much speculation, the matter has finally been laid to rest. Epic is the best selling independently published science fiction series on Amazon!
As both author of Epic and CEO of Stone Aside Publishing, L.L.C., Lee "Stephen" Hebert has placed his series in the company of mass publishers such as Penguin Group and Random House. It's yet another milestone in a year full of milestones.
"We've done in under a year what many books do in a lifetime," Stephen said. "By 'we', I mean those of us who helped create the product of Epic, the fans who have driven it, and above everyone else, the God who made it possible. I want to set the record straight right now—not a drop of this would be possible without guidance from above."
He goes on to state that Epic's journey has confirmed his original theory: people want clean literature. "People are sick of profanity and they're sick of perversion. People want a good story, and that's what Epic is. In a way it's a little old fashioned, but sometimes that's what the world needs."
Book one in the Epic series, Dawn of Destiny, recently hit #2 on Amazon's list of general science fiction series literature, surpassed and surrounded only by the works of Isaac Asimov. It was a far cry beyond what the average independently published book accomplishes.
So will there come a time when Epic is #1 overall? "When you look at what we're up against, it's flooring," Stephen said. "But make no mistake—we're just getting started."
Book two in the Epic series, Outlaw Trigger was released in October of 2007.
