What scenes in OT did you find most powerful and most profound?

Powerful
The most powerful moment in OT for me was when the Nightmen wheeled Scott's armor out on a cart. At that moment it hits you that Scott is dead. Standing in his place is a completely different man. I'm excited to watch him grow as he begins his new life as a Nightman.

Profound
When I first thought about this, my initial reaction was when Scott realizes Nicole is dead or when he says goodbye to her at the hanger. But after thinking about it a little more I believe the fact that Varvara sent a letter to Sveta is even more profound. Scott has just committed murder. He is directly responsible for the death of Galya. Yet Varvara still cares enough to contact the one person who might be able to save Scott from himself.

That letter shows just how deeply the entire 14th cares.

Max is the one who struck me as powerful. He's picking up to fill the shoes that Scott's left empty, I think. Which surprises me because I would have guess David, but I think it's gonna be Axen!

Good question, and I can't believe I've missed it this long...

The most powerful moment I think is when Scott directly challenges his CO, whose name escapes me at the moment. I think this is when the unit truly began to fall apart. That for me makes it the most powerful moment in the book.

As far as profound, I would have to say when Scott says to David "I didn't mean it" and David's response is "I don't care." I think a rift has been created in their friendship that is not going to heal any time soon. I would go so far as to say that David would view Scott as an enemy in a sense, since he is now one of "them".
