Which Nightman do you think killed Joe? Someone from the Fourteenth or someone from his own squad moving up the ranks?

I don't know, but I hope Harbinger gets to beat the snot out of whoever did it later on.
I don't think it was anyone from the 14th though. Unless Thoor ordered it.
Food for thought.... could we see William become a Nightman soon?

You know there's got to be something behind it. Not sure about Harbinger, though, didn't Nightmen have to be Russian? Wait, Thoor wasnt Russian so nevermind. Harbinger just doesn't seem like the kind of person who'd do that.

William would be a frightening Nightman.

Harbinger as a Nightman? That's a very interesting point. I think he is badass enough, but not cold hearted enough.
....but not cold hearted enough.
If he killed Joe, then apparently he is.

If Will killed Joe, he wouldn't be crying, unless it was part of an act.
And I don't think Nightmen cry, even when acting.
And if Will killed Joe to become a Nightman, then wouldn't he be a Nightman?
It boggles the mind.

dang... good thoughts guys! Something I never considered. poor Joe :(
Perhaps William was crying out of guilt? It's amazing that even when one does things that are wrong to further themselves along..,the guilt is still often times there.

Coulda been William, but William didn't strike me as the kind of guy that would do that. Max, however...

I think I agree with Sveta here. If William did it he would probably feel some major remorse considering he had to kill a friend. Though, I don't think he would've come back strong later on during the fight. I don't think "Battering RAM!!!" would've been on his mind nearly as much. Besides no self respecting Darkman would ever yell, "BATTERING RAM!!!!"

Plus there's the issue that Nightmen are not exactly secret about it. This isn't exactly a mystery - all you do is look around to see who's spraypainting their armour black and toting around some red triangles they didn't have last week.

I'm with Skones here. I really don't think Harb killed his buddy. Young made a good point with the battering ram (best quote ever) thing as well. Harb, to me, just isn't Nightman material. He's like this enormous, slightly frightening, child who likes to play Army. In a good way :)

Of course, I have to wonder - what _is_ Harb going to do to the first guy he sees playing around in new black armour?

On a base that big, would you even be able to tell?
Was the new Nightman killed in the assault?

I'd agree with the folks that don't think Harbinger did it. I wonder if he was there when someone killed him. Maybe asleep and he woke up, saw the murder and either stayed 'asleep' and watched or jumped up to help, but they 'shut him up' with threats or something. I don't know, just throwing ideas out there.
Also, I don't think you could tell a 'new' nightman in a group the size of theirs (I think a third of the base?).
In the last battle sequence, where did that giant force of Nightmen come from? Most Nightmen, I thought, were mixed with EDEN operatives. Why would there be a separate 'group' of Nightmen organized somewhere else on the base ready to fight in formation? That, or did the Nightmen that were mixed with EDEN platoons know they had to ditch their platoons and regroup with all the other Nightmen in a crisis. Those were some questions I had when reading.
Well, the idea that Nightmen killed Joe seems to be the most obvious to me. I just think Will knows a bit more than we read.
