Hello All! This is my first post at Epic Universe. I've been throughly enjoying Lee's work and think that most of you would enjoy my style as well. Here's the blurb:

If you like the sounds of it, check out http://thetentosaga.com. There is currently a teaser to the final version of the novel available for sale.
Thanks for the interest (General Thoor is the best.),

Sounds quite interesting. Very specific on the timeline and dates. I'd like to see how that ties in with the entire story. I do like that idea though - spanning such a long period while sticking to the same event/story.
Question: Are you/have you written one book, or is this a compilation of several books. I'm just a bit confused on what you're showing. I see a teaser, but it's for the final version... yet the blurb looks like 4 different books. Basically, what's out there for me to read right now and/or what will be out for me to read?

First of all, thank you for the interest.
Genesis of Exile (the release that is now available), is a compilation of Part I (shown in the blurb as "The Exile") in its original form. After a complete rewrite, it's like a completely different novel. Also included in Genesis of Exile is a short story entitled "Project Earth: Diary of the Stranded". This short story ended up inspiring some of The Tento Saga. This was to serve as a teaser to the final release.
The blurb above is for the final version of the novel that will be coming out soon. The epic is broken up into four different parts all in the same novel. I understand why you thought it was four different books.
As for what you can read now, you can pick up a copy of Genesis of Exile at Lulu in print or e-book format. It should be mentioned that this release is in very rough condition. It's unedited and original. I've come far since then in my writing abilities. This is just a taste of what's to come. :)

Thanks again for the interest, PP! I hope you decide to pick up a copy.

A quick update: My novel is being featured over at MILSCIFI.COM (http://www.milscifi.com). They've got an interview up that you can check out if you like. I'm getting a spot in my local paper this Sunday! Exciting times for this new author! Thanks for paying attention guys! :)
I hope you enjoy the story. If you're inspired, I encourage you to create something for the art section! Everything I receive will get posted! Fan fictions will also be welcomed! I'm hoping this novel becomes a viral phenomenon. If enough fan material is produced, it isn't out of the question that a second edition will have some extra material! :)

Hey guys,
I had a plan for promotion for the book. Unfortunately, its kind of fallen apart. I had an agency lined up to put out a review and begin taking review requests. A couple days ago, it fell through. Apparently, they tried the program and it doesn't work with fiction. So, I'm back at square one in terms of promotion. I'm hoping someone on the board has some ideas. If you've published something and were in my position, I'd appreciate any tips.
It's funny. It's starting to seem to me that actually writing something is only half the battle.

I don't have any tips for promoting sorry, aside from self-promotion/bookstore traveling/pushing the product. I don't have any experience in the "industry".
I would definitely agree with you that writing is only half the battle. Unless you're in said "industry" already, it seems like getting yourself out to the masses is definitely the hardest part.
When is the last time you saw a commercial for a book on television? Its been a while for me. Kind of sucks.

No doubt, Logan. I've seen a few ads for End Times prophecy type books but little else. I really don't understand why the industry doesn't want more authors. It's kind of like they're saying, "you need not apply. We have enough successful writers. Goodbye."
Sad.

Hey guys. I've found marketing and getting new readers in this economic crisis to be next to impossible. I've finally decided to make my novel available for download through a bit torrent. If you already know about bit torrents, GET THE FILE HERE (http://www.mininova.org/tor/2519493) and download it now! There's only one condition. I'm requesting all downloaders to do a review at Amazon. Just go to Amazon and do a search for "Tento Saga". It's the first search result.
Now, for those of you who are interested but don't know what a bit torrent is, CLICK HERE (http://www.dessent.net/btfaq/) for a great FAQ on all things bit torrent related. If you need some personal help, you can throw me a line at jasonegroff@hotmail.com.
I really hope anyone on this site that hasn't bought a copy of my novel decides to download a copy and do a review. I'll take this opportunity to thank everyone who did buy a copy and ask for a review at Amazon.:)
God bless you all!

Ummm... no offense, but are you sure it's ok promoting your work on another author's forum? I wouldn't be comfortable with it - unless I had the owner/author's permission, that is. And even then, I'd be skittish.
I wish you the best of luck, but it strikes me as odd.

The Exhibition Room forum was designed to be a showroom for creators to tell others about their work. As Zonfer has stated, it can be very difficult for creators to get their work off the ground. We want to provide a place for them to do that, without interfering with the content of the other Epic and Off Topic forums.

Thanks for the back-up Epic Admin. I would never do anything to encroach on Lee's space. I've had a personal connection with Lee since finding his work and he encouraged me to utilize the boards to promote my work. To clarify my motives, GO BUY EPIC 3 BEFORE YOU EVEN DOWNLOAD MY NOVEL!
Lee is the man.:)

Hey, I was just asking, is all. Seemed to me there's a difference between a notice/post with some discussion, and a specific thread with graphics, links to purchase/DL, and such. It was a question of personal opinion & propriety. If Admin & Lee have no problem, then no worries.
Good Luck then.

I purchased a copy of this when you first released it a year ago. But I am ashamed to admit, I have not even begun to read it yet. What with the move to Nashville from Florida, and the way the current job market has me scrambling to keep my job, I have not read hardly anything recently.
But, rest assured, once I read it (And I will start on it sooner rather than later, I promise) I will be more than happy to post a review on Amazon and wherever else to try to help promote your work.

Scout07, I can't thank you enough for taking a chance on it and putting up your hard earned dollars for a copy. I sincerely hope you enjoy the plot. I'm no Arthur C. Clarke and I don't claim to be. However, I think the plot/outline of the work is unique and I'm proud with the outcome. However, the message is what I'm most proud of-- seek God in your life. Seek and ye shall find. :)
I really want to hit home how grateful I am to anyone who picked up a copy at retail. I've made the decision as the author/publisher to put it on the bit torrent networks for free as an exposure tool. I've been using Twitter like crazy as well.

Let me take this opportunity to HIGHLY recommend using Twitter. This is definitely one of the most powerful marketing tools available if used correctly.
Anyway, to Scout07 and anyone else working on their passion, I wish you Godspeed and success! God bless!

Update time, folks! :)
After four twelve hour writing days, I've hammered out the screenplay treatment for The Tento Saga: The Exile (aka: Part 1).
I'm in talks with a great film production company that put out the military sci-fi/horror movie The Objective. Which, by the way, I highly recommend seeing.
Rent The Objective at Blockbuster.com (http://www.blockbuster.com/browse/catalog/movieDetails/397089)
Awesome mil sci-fi/horror storyline set in Afghanistan complete with UFOs and the Occult. Good stuff.
ME = EXCITED ABOUT THE FUTURE OF TENTO! :-)
